THE PIANO SONATAS 4-6 are stirring, full of passion and deepness. Orchestral and gripping, delicate and touching – the nine movements flatter the ear of the listener. Whenever Oestlind is asked for his inspiration, the answer seems magical: “The music flows from above directly to my heart. Every first thought has to be written down in a bound book with a pencil – like composers did hundreds of years ago.” His favorite piece is the 1st movement of the 6th Sonata, especially the Climax in the middle of the work, in whose emergence also tears of happiness flowed.
